For International Women's Day, the Young Feminist Society invited Naomi Shatz '00 to speak at the Middle School assembly about her work as an anti-discrimination attorney focusing on student rights in Boston, MA.
Spotlight: Caroline Kim '20
Former FADE captain, Caroline Kim '20, returned to campus to guest-teach the Upper School Dance Production Honors class. Caroline is currently a senior at Emory University where she is double-majoring in neuroscience and dance.
Are You Interested in Helping Students, Too?
Alumni are one of Head-Royce's greatest treasures. Your experiences, stories, advice, and time are an incredible resource for our students who are traveling in your footsteps. Our Adulting 101 program offers many ways that you can get involved, in a manner that works with your valuable time and schedule.
On-campus Speaker: Share your experience and expertise with our students in large assemblies, or more intimate club, affinity group, or classroom settings. (Time commitment: 1-2 hours)
Mock College Interviews: Help our seniors prepare and practice for college interviews. (Time commitment: 1 hour and up)
College Info: Share information and advice about your college with juniors and seniors who are interested in the same school. (Time commitment: 1-2 hours)
Senior Project Supervisor: Volunteer to oversee a senior project in your area of expertise. (Time commitment: varies)
Intersession: Lead a two-day workshop in an area of expertise for our high school students in January. (Time commitment: 2 days and prep time)
Summer Internships and Jobs: Hire or act as a referral for a student seeking professional experience (Time commitment: varies)
I-Search Resource: Let our 9th graders interview you in your area of expertise or interest for their I-Search paper. (Time commitment: 1 hour)
